VISITORS to the Bowes Museum enjoyed festive fun as they browsed round a Christmas market.
The museum played host to its annual Christmas market, which has been running for more than ten years, over the weekend.
Crowds of visitors enjoyed more than 80 stalls selling items such as jewellery, crafts, last minute gifts and food items.
Members of the Barnard Castle Farmers’ Market were also present.
A display of alpacas was also on show at the museum.
A museum spokeswoman said: “It has been really good. It has been a really busy weekend and the atmosphere good and festive.
“It has been a really good event and everyone seems to have enjoyed it.”
This year in a change from previous markets the food stalls were based on the museum’s terrace and the craft stalls were in a marquee on the rear lawn.
