AN MP is backing a new shopping website that helps charities.
Durham City MP Roberta Blackman-Woods gave her backing to care2save.co.uk during an event in Westminster yesterday (Wednesday, December 10).
Commission from purchases made through Care2Save is split between a registered charity of the shopper’s choice and the Care2Save Charitable Trust, which supports hospice and palliative care.
Dr Blackman-Woods said: “It was great to attend this briefing and learn more about care2save and their work making it easier to raise funds for local hospices.
“Many of us will come into contact with hospices at some point in our lives, whether because we ourselves or our loved ones will rely on their care.
“Care2Save is doing great work raising much needed funds for hospices and other charities and I was delighted to show my support for their work.”
