POLICE hunting a would-be robber who attacked a woman walking her dog have released an e-fit of their suspect.
The incident took place in Thirsk between 12.30pm and 1pm on November 26 in a snicket near to Stoneybrough Lane which runs parallel with the A19.
A 41-year-old local woman was walking her dog when she was approached by the suspect who knocked her to the ground before demanding that she gave him her mobile phone.
When she told him that she didn’t have one, the man left, heading towards the A19 flyover.
He was aged between 20 and 30,was about 5ft 8in and had dark hair. He spoke with an Irish accent and wore a blue checked shirt and dark jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
