A CHOIR will conclude a year of anniversary celebrations with a magical Christmas carol concert this weekend.
Sedgefield Lyric Singers performed its first Christmas concert in 1974 and has continued to spread festive cheer in Sedgefield, County Durham, every year since.
The choir, which formed that year, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special summer concert in July.
It is hoped the Christmas concert, on Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13, will be just as memorable, with the Singers joining forces with Sedgefield Lyric Youth Choir and Sedgefield Lirica for the performance.
The concert takes place at Sedgefield Parish Hall and starts at 7pm both nights.
Audiences can expect a mixture of traditional carols and modern festive music, from the UK and around the world.
Tickets cost £5 or £4 for children under 16-years and are available from Tickety Boo on Sedgefield High Street or Connie Spring on 01740-621196.
New members, especially those who sing tenor and bass, are always welcome and are encouraged to get in touch.
