SCORES of Santas got their running shoes on to raise money for a North East hospice.
The annual Santa Run for St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington took place in the town on Saturday, setting off from West Park Academy and winding a 5k route through the nearby park.
The family-friendly event raises hundreds for the hospice each year and attracts hordes of people who run or walk one of three routes through the park – including the Elf Amble for little ones and pets.
This year the runners were accompanied at the start line by a team of unicycling reindeer and there was a host of attractions on offer at West Park including stalls, games, funfair rides and a Santa’s grotto.
