CHARACTERS from the hit Disney film Frozen entertained the crowds that descended on Darlington’s Market Square for the opening of the town's ice rink.
Scores of families braved the chilly temperatures to watch the official opening of the attraction, with a Frozen sing-a-long by Princess Anna and her snowman friend Olaf before dozens of excited youngsters took to the ice.
The rink, brought to the town for a second year by Bid company Distinct Darlington, will now be open daily until January 4, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
One hour’s skating costs £5 for children under 12, £6 adults and £19 families.
Skaters can also opt for a special hot chocolate package of one hour’s skating and a hot chocolate from the Dolphin Centre, costing £7 per adult and £6 for children under 12.
Ice rink party packages are available for groups of ten people or more, with the option to enjoy exclusive use of the rink for parties of more than 20 people.
