SUNDERLAND will screen the Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats travel to Newcastle United’s St James’ Park ground on the lunchtime of Sunday, December 21, but only a small number of away fans will be able to attend.
So the club is showing the TV coverage to its fans at the Stadium of Light.
Gary Hutchinson, the club’s Commercial Director, said: “The Black Cats’ clash with NUFC is always one of the most anticipated games of the season and fans of all ages are keen to get involved.
“By opening the Stadium of Light we hope to give supporters the opportunity to enjoy all the emotion and excitement of the match on home turf and make it more accessible for those who are unable to travel to Newcastle for whatever reason.”
Tickets for the screening are limited and can be booked by calling 0871 9111555 or e-mailing conf&banq@safc.com Details are also available on the club website www.safc.com
