A CHARITY race day has raised more than £41,000 for a North-East hospice.
Wynyard Park sponsored the day-long event at Sedgefield Racecourse today (Tuesday) to fundraise for Hartlepool and District Hospice.
The company invited 190 people from businesses across Hartlepool to the event, which included a raffle, auction and entertainment.
Melissa Hogan, commercial manager for Sedgefield Racecourse, said: “This is the first time Wynyard Park has sponsored this event but we are hoping it might become an annual event.
“We can’t believe how much has been raised. It is fantastic.”
