A MAN was airlifted to hospital after his car plunged down a steep embankment.
The 38-year-old was taken to Hexham General Hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance following the incident in St John’s Chapel, Weardale.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and is in a stable condition.
