STUDENTS have been bringing some festive cheer to shoppers in a city centre.
Members of Durham University Charities Kommittee (Duck) sang carols in Durham Market Place today (Wednesday, December 3).
The event was part of a fundraising Duck Week.
A carnival will be held at Durham City Cricket Club, Green Lane, on Sunday (December 7) from 4pm to 8pm, with rides, games, face painting, music and competitions.
Donations can also be made by texting DUCK15 followed by the amount to 70070.
Duck chair Jordan Riley said: “We are very grateful for all donations, no matter how big or small.
“If everybody donated just £1 the money generated would benefit so many great local causes.”
Money raised will go to a range of charities, locally, nationally and internationally.
