A MOTHERS’ support group has won a national award.
Mums in Durham scooped the Best Socialising, Network or Support Group prize in the What’s On 4 Me 2014 Awards.
Fiona McGrother, from the group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this award for the second year running.
“Mums in Durham now boasts almost 8,000 members and works extensively in the community to support local families, businesses and charities.
“The ‘Mums in’ group now has 16 groups across the country and we’re thrilled to see a growing number of mums supporting local mums.”
The What’s on 4 Me Awards is in its fourth year, celebrating leisure activity providers across the UK. The winners are chosen by public vote.
Forty-six winners and runners-up were announced from more than 1,000 nominees at a ceremony held at Earls Court, London, on Thursday, November 20.
