STUDENTS have embarked upon a week of charity fundraising.
Good-hearted youngsters from Durham University Charities Kommittee (Duck) are staging a Duck Week.
There will be carol singing in Durham Market Place on Wednesday (December 3) from 1pm to 3pm, with several charities that have benefitted from Duck grants represented.
A carnival will follow at Durham City Cricket Club, Green Lane, on Sunday (December 7) from 4pm to 8pm, with rides, games, face painting, music and competitions.
Donations can also be made by texting DUCK15 followed by the amount to 70070.
Duck chair Jordan Riley said: “We are very grateful for all donations, no matter how big or small.
“If everybody donated just £1 the money generated would benefit so many great local causes.”
Money raised will go to a range of charities, locally, nationally and internationally.
