A CANCER patient had her head shaved today (Monday, December 1) to thank hospital staff in Middlesbrough for her treatment.
Kelly Johnson, a 33-year-old mother-of-one, shaved her hair to raise money for the radiotherapy and oncology department at James Cook University Hospital. Its star fund benefits patients and their families, and also funds future developments to help cancer patients.
Ms Johnson and her daughter Charlie, ten, wanted to thank staff for looking after them.
Charlie said she loved the hospital and staff, and was happy to be involved in the fundraising.
