A NORTH-EAST artist will sell signed prints and postcards to raise money for charity this weekend (Saturday, December 6).
Spennymoor-based Colin J Richardson is hosting a sale to raise money for charities close to his heart and others chosen by Durham Elvet Rotary Club, which is organising the sale at Durham Town Hall this Saturday (December 6).
Mr Richardson, 80, started producing art aged 11, making Christmas cards for family and friends.
Since then, he has painted many familiar North-East scenes in water colours, charcoal, ink, acrylic and oil paints.
Saturday’s sale takes place from 9.30am to 4pm.
Mr Richardson’s chosen charities are: Sense, the RSPCA, the RSPCC, the Donkey Trust, the Great North Air Ambulance, Cancer Research UK and the Darlington Dogs Trust.
