HUNDREDS of people have attended the official Christmas light switch on in a North-East village.
The tree in High Street North, Langley Moor, County Durham, was lit during a seasonal ceremony this evening. (Sunday, November 30)
Carols were sung by pupils from St Patricks Primary School and Langley Moor Primary School and music was performed by the band North Road.
Lieutenant David White from the Salvation Army was compere for the evening.
The Christmas lights were illuminated by Mayor of Durham Councillor John Robinson and Councillor Tommy Akins, chairman of Brandon Byshottles Parish Council.
