TEAM GB wheelchair racer Jade Jones is set to inspire students across the Tees Valley at a conference tomorrow (Friday, November 28).
Ms Jones, who lives in Middlesbrough and trains under Tanni Grey-Thompson, will address 45 students from colleges across Teesside at the Tees Valley Leaders Academy Conference at Billingham Forum.
The Academy has been established to support and inspire a generation of sports coaches and volunteers using sport as a stepping stone to develop their leadership skills.
It allows them to build experience whilst working at the county wide Sainsbury’s School Games events in the summer.
Ms Jones will talk about her development as an international athlete, and the support she received through her career from volunteers.
The Conference will also include training and networking opportunities for the students.
