A MAN has admitted driving while unfit through drugs with his 20-month-old daughter in the car.
Kieran Antony Cameron, of Albion Avenue, Shildon, County Durham, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe today (Wednesday, November 26).
Vickie Wilson, prosecuting, said the incident, which occurred in Spennymoor in May, was so serious that full pre-sentence reports would be needed.
“The defendant has taken drugs and proceeded to drive in a careless manner, crossing lanes and eventually crashing the car,” she said. “His 20-month-old daughter was in the car at the time.”
No offence outline, including the type of drug, or mitigation was given at this hearing.
Magistrates adjourned the case until Tuesday, December 18.
Cameron received an interim driving ban and unconditional bail.
