A PENSIONER has appeared before magistrates charged with 13 historic sex offences on children.
Allan Brown, 71, of Sycamore Grove, West Auckland, County Durham, is charged with nine counts of indecent assault, three of conspiring to rape and a further sexual abuse charge.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred at various locations in County Durham and North Yorkshire.
Mr Brown indicated a not guilty plea when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, November 26) and the case was committed to Durham Crown Court on Wednesday, December 10.
Mr Brown received unconditional bail.
