MAGISTRATES have remanded a man accused of causing the death of a fellow reveller over the weekend into custody.
Gordon Robson, 26, of Waskerley Road, in Barmston, Washington, appeared before Sunderland Magistrates’ Court today. (Tuesday, November 25)
He is charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of 45-year-old Sunderland man John Potts, who was killed outside a North-East nightspot in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He died of injuries he sustained outside the NE38 Sports Bar, at Barmston, Washington, at 12.50am on Sunday.
Robson was remanded into custody and he will appear before Newcastle Crown Court on December 9.
A 29-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to the disturbance. He has been released on police bail until February.
