POLICE are investigating a deliberate fire in Teesside in which a 56-year-old man was hospitalised.
The fire was started at the back of a house on Cambridge Road, Port Clarence, between 1am and 2am on Friday, November 21.
The property was damaged and a 56-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees suffering from smoke inhalation. He was treated and later released.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson by Cleveland Police and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information regarding the fire or anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to contact DC Gareth Davies on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
