X-FACTOR and Dancing on Ice finalists are among the talented cast performing a record-breaking musical in Darlington.
Lloyd Daniels, who was the youngest contestant in 2009’s X-Factor competition, takes the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat currently running at the Darlington Civic Theatre.
He is joined by former Eastenders actor Matt Lapinskas - runner up in the penultimate series of Dancing on Ice - who plays the Pharaoh in the show.
Having enjoyed sensational reviews, Bill Kenwright’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s enduringly popular musical is at the Civic until Saturday (November 22).
Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, the show is full of musical favourites including Those Canaan days, Any Dream Will Do, and Close Every Door To Me.
The show, which is the UK’s longest running musical, is narrated by Danielle Hope who won BBC television’s Over the Rainbow and made her professional debut as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium.
Tickets cost from £19 to £31 and can be bought at the box office on 01325-486 555 or visit www.darlingtoncivic.co.uk
