PUPILS got a pre-festive season treat when a real live reindeer was brought in to school.
Youngsters at St Godric’s RC Primary School, in the Framwellgate Moor area of Durham City, met Frosty who belongs to the parents of one of their classmates.
Alessia Calzini, ten, is the daughter of Marco and Janine Calzini who run the popular Adventure Valley children’s farm and activity centre and she asked if she could bring in her her five-year-old pet.
Alessia said: “We’ve had Frosty for four years, he’s ever so friendly, he just loves meeting people.
“When visitors come to see Father Christmas at the farm Frosty is always trying to get into the pictures.”
Pupils heard about what reindeers eat and the special hollow hairs that help keep them warm.
Frosty will meet visitors at Adventure Valley, at Brasside, as part of the attraction’s Christmas Winter Wonderland experience on selected dates from November 29 to Christmas Eve.
