NEARLY 100 tourism professionals gathered for an agency’s autumn conference.
The Visit County Durham summit attracted 91 delegates to Durham County Cricket Club in Chester-le-Street.
The title was ‘Marketing!’ and the speakers included Anke Monstel, from Visit England.
Ivor Stolliday, chairman of Visit County Durham, said: “As we’ve seen with Visit County Durham’s three recent national campaigns, marketing can have a huge positive impact.
“This was a fantastic opportunity for Durham-based tourism businesses of all sizes to learn how to promote themselves to a wider market and develop new revenue streams on even the smallest marketing budgets.
“We had three fantastic keynote speakers and two great seminars.”
