CUSTOMERS at an opticians were left rubbing their eyes in disbelief as staff staged a 1970s day for charity.
Workers at R Young Opticians on Clifton Road, Stanley, County Durham, donned flares, kaftan tops, loud shirts and big wigs to get into the spirit of the event.
There was also a raffle, with more than 30 prizes up for grabs.
The event was staged on Friday and the money raised will go to Children in Need.
Boss Paul Young said: “It’s something we do every year and it’s such a great cause.
“We have fun dressing up and our patients get into the spirit too. Hopefully we’ll have raised a few hundred pounds.”
