POLICE are urging women to think twice about how much they drink.
As part of Alcohol Awareness Week, Durham Police is working with Balance, the North East Alcohol Office, to provide help and education for anyone worried about their drinking.
There will be a stall at police headquarters where staff can try on ‘beer goggles’ and get information.
Health screening will be available and an alcohol-free evening with live music is being planned.
Ron Hogg, the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, said: “I give my full support to the awareness campaign and urge people to be aware of their alcohol limits.
“From both a policing and a health perspective, drinking less alcohol will benefit individuals and communities alike.”
