A DVD that shows the recreation of a First World War football match has been released to raise money for the restoration of Saltburn's war memorial.
Two teams, dressed in vintage army uniforms, played against each other on Saltburn beach on Sunday, June 1.
The footage was premiered on Thursday at Saltburn House to mark the release of the 50-minute DVD.
Allan Whiley, who organised the event, said: “The evening was brilliant and the first 50 DVDs sold out. There were more than 100 people there and the feedback was tremendous.
"The game was played in the spirit of the original and it did not really matter whether we won or drew. It was about paying tribute to the people who lost their lives in the First World War.
"The camera crew who volunteered to film the day did so in a splendid manner and truly captured the spirit."
The event, which was attended by thousands of people, raised £3,615 for The Royal British Legion. This was doubled to more than £7,200 after Barclays, who Mr Whiley works for, matched the figure.
It was inspired by British and German soldiers who put down their weapons and played football in no-man’s land on Christmas Day 1914.
Silent Night, which was originally sung by German soldiers on the day of the truce, was performed in both German and English as the players in Saltburn prepared to start.
The event even captured the attention of Prince Harry, who sent a message before the game to wish everyone good luck.
The DVD is available from Saltburn library for a £5 donation.
