A HOST of artists are descending on Hurworth, near Darlington, for a one-off ‘pop up’ art exhibition tomorrow (Sunday November 16).
Twenty-two artists will showcase their work at the Shout About Art exhibition at Hurworth Grange community centre from 10am to 4pm.
The exhibitions are the concept of artist and college lecturer Donna Slyfield of Hurworth who wanted to allow up-and-coming artists and craftspeople to demonstrate their skills alongside established artists.
Hawes-based artist Stacey Moore will be displaying work, and the exhibition will also feature international artists including Spaniard Maria Santos, who now lives near Barnard Castle.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view, buy and commission original artwork, from fine art, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, print, illustration and photography.
Entry is £2 on the door with children under 14 years old free when accompanied by a paying adult. Discounted family and friends tickets for four adults are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/shout-about-art-hurworth-tickets.
Exhibitors will also be featured on the Shout About Art website – www.shoutaboutart.com – where full details of the event can be found.
