A ROADSHOW is set to help people find out how they can have lower bills and warmer homes if they install renewable heating.
The Department for Energy and Climate Change will be in Barnard Castle, on November 20, to talk to people about the benefits of the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
The domestic RHI is the world’s first long-term financial support programme for renewable heat, offering homeowners payments to offset the cost of installing low carbon heating systems in their properties.
Amber Rudd MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Climate Change, said: “As well as allowing people to have warmer homes and lower bills, renewable heating reduces their emissions as well - so it’s a win-win for households and the environment.”
As well as meeting the RHI team, heating specialists will also be on hand at the roadshow to offer advice and guidance to people about how they can install renewable heating to have warmer homes.
The free event will take place at The Witham, 3 Horse Market, Barnard Castle, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
Places are limited so tickets should be booked in advance.
