A MAN required hospital treatment after having an unknown substance thrown in his face during a disturbance in a North-East street.
Northumbria Police are now appealing for information after the incident in Newcastle.
Officers say the attack happened at about 7pm on Tuesday, November 11, when an altercation took place between the occupant of one of the houses in Beaconsfield Street, in the Elswick area of the city, two other men.
One of the people involved in the attack is described as white and the other Asian.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s, had an unknown substance thrown in his face and is receiving treatment at the RVI in Newcastle.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the altercation or who has information about what happened to contact them on 101 ext 69191 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
