MORE than 70 men staged a city centre protest against human trafficking.
The men took a break from the Iron Men conference at Newcastle Christian Life Centre to stage a silent vigil against the horrific crime around Monument in the city centre.
They all wore T-shirts saying: Real men don’t buy girls.
Organiser Pastor Jon Cook said: “There’s a lot in the news at the moment about human trafficking and exploitation and, as a church and as a group of men, we are already raising awareness about this issue and doing whatever we can to stop it.
“It was one of the most powerful things I’ve ever been part of. We just hope the impact lasts longer than one day.”
