AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD has penned a heart-rending letter to the callous thief who stole her beloved dog.
Sienna Walker and her siblings Serena, Amelia, Graham and Lewis were left devastated when the family’s bulldog Molly was taken from the driveway of their property on Saturday, November 1.
Despite a reward of £1,500 being offered for Molly’s safe return, she remains missing and young Sienna has now penned a letter to those responsible.
The letter reads:
“Dear dog snatcher, please, please could you return our pet dog Molly. All of our family is very upset without her.
"We don’t know if she has clean water, been fed and a warm bed but we know you have done wrong.
"Try and do something right and return her please.
"From Sienna Walker, Serena Walker, Amelia Walker, Graham Walker and Lewis Boyle”
Sienna’s father, Graham Walker, said the loss of the four-year-old dog had had a huge impact on the family.
He said: “The children are affected badly, it’s been very upsetting for them and it’s upsetting to see the kids like this.
“The dog is part of our family and she’s like one of the kids.”
A Facebook appeal for the dog’s return has been shared thousands of times across the country but to no avail.
Before she was taken, the dog - owned by the family since she was a pup - was tied to a kennel at the family’s property in Hornby, near Great Smeaton while Mr Walker was at work and his partner inside the house.
Molly is a four-year-old British bulldog, all white with a brown patch the side of a tennis ball on her back.
Anyone with information about the missing dog is asked to contact the police on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
