A community salwart is set to be recognised with an MBE.
Peter Stubbs, is one of the founder members of Farmwatch, a community initiative similar to Neighbourhood Watch.
Farmwatch was originally set it up in 1979 and is now in its 25th year.
The 72-year-old farmer, of Kinninvie, near Barnard Castle, has been recognised for services to policing and will be presented with his MBE by the Queen later this week.
