HIDING a haul of drugs inside a wardrobe has landed a Bishop Auckland man in court.
When police searched the Melrose Drive home of 35-year-old Daniel Place on May 5 they found nine bottles of methadone, diazepam tablets, tramadol capsules and a small bottle of liquid steroid, Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court heard today (Thursday, September 25).
Place pleaded guilty to possession of Class A, B and C drugs and the court was told that they were for his personal use.
Magistrates imposed a six-month community order with supervision and told Place to pay a total of £145 in court costs and charges.
