POLICE are investigating the robbery of a driver delivering a consignment of laughing gas to a house.
The delivery man, who is in his 30s, who was about to drop off the nitrous oxide at an address in Jesmond, Newcastle, when he was approached by two men armed with knives.
They threatened him and stole his car, a red Peugeot 406, along with his iPhone and cash.
Other stock in the car was also taken, including 75 further canisters of nitrous oxide and 12 boxes of cream.
Police investigating the incident, which took place shortly before 4.55pm on Saturday (July 5), have appealed for information from witnesses at the scene, in Holly Avenue, or from anyone as to the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle, registration NC03 BSY.
They are asked to contact the Northumbria force as soon as possible, by ringing 101, extension 69191, quoting reference 266 05/07/14, or the Crimestoppers freephone line, anonymously, on 0800-555-111.
