AN investigation is underway following the discovery of a man's body in North Yorkshire.
Police launched their probe after the body was discovered in a property in Malton.
They went to an address in the Maltings at around 11.20am on Monday, June 30, after being contacted by a friend of the resident who was concerned about the man’s welfare.
On arrival they found the body of a 49-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained,” said a spokesman.
“Police enquiries remain ongoing and officers are awaiting the result of a post mortem examination.”
The spokesman added: “We are not yet in a position to release the identity of the man who died.”
It is not believed that the death is suspicious.
