Kitchen fire
The kitchen of a house in Lydia Street, Willington, County Durham, was severely damaged by fire this evening.
Three fire crews, two from Crook and one from Spennymoor, responded to a call at 8.19pm and reported that the blaze in the two-storey house was "well alight".
Firefighters stood down at 9pm after extinguishing the blaze using two hose reels.
