GRAEME STORM dropped 42 places on the second round of the BMW International Open in Germany.
The former British Amateur champion was placed third at the end of the first day in Cologne but was unable to repeat his heroics and fell down the leaderboard.
Storm's 73 today means he is still a healthy five-under for the tournament going in to the weekend, although he has four shots to make up on Spanish leader Pablo Larrazabal.
After bogeying the fourth and making triple bogey seven at the seventh, Storm regained his composure to birdie four of the first six holes after the turn.
But then back-to-back bogeys at 16 and 17 proved costly and he starts Saturday in tied 45th place hoping he has got his mistakes out of the way in the second round.
