ELVIS the lamb with the injured pelvis has found a new home in North Yorkshire.
As previously reported in The Northern Echo, Elvis’ owners were trying to find a new place for him to live as they will soon no longer have room for him.
Elvis was the third lamb born to Zwartbles Custard in April, but hours after his arrival his mother accidentally trod on him leaving with an injured pelvis.
His owners, John and Carol Graham, spent several weeks rearing him in their B&B in Weardale, and have grown so attached to him they could not face sending him to market with the other lambs, including his sister Priscilla.
But they also do not have the space to keep him at Hill House East Country Bed and Breakfast in Westgate.
Now, after an appeal in The Northern Echo, a new home has been found for Elvis.
Mrs Graham said: “I am delighted to say he has found a home.
“He is going to live with a lady near Helmsley, who has 110 acres and a flock of rare breeds.
“She is also a spinner and has a gentleman's club of pet, non breeding males that Elvis has been invited to join.
“I will be packing his toothbrush when he is weaned in a few weeks time and will be off to Yorkshire and a life of spoilt indolence.”
