SEB CROOKHALL-NIXON is the early clubhouse leader of the Brabazon Trophy after a superb morning round at Seaton Carew Goilf Club.
The Workington golfer was was in the first group to tee off this morning at 7am and his brilliant 69 has put his name at the top of the leaderboard.
Crookhall-Nixon shot a four-under in favourable conditions around the testing links course near to Hartlepool to give himself the perfect start.
His playing partner Zach Galliford (Borth & Ynyslas) is closest to him on two under with Corhampton's Scott Gregory a shot further back.
Whickham's James Simpson is the North-East man in eary contention after shooting 73 along with Longridge's Mark Young posted a 73.
Golfers from across the world are pressing to become one the first Brabazon Trophy winner at Seaton Carew since 1985.
