POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash on North Tyneside.
It happened at 10.43pm on Tuesday, June 24, at Windsor Crescent, close to the junction with Windsor Avenue in Cullercoats, when an RF1 Motor Trike left the road and collided with a wall.
"The rider, a man aged 60, was taken to North Tyneside General Hospital where he later died. The rear passenger, a woman aged 36, was taken to the RVI in Newcastle where she is in a critical condition," said a spokesman for Northumbria Police.
"The road was closed for four hours to allow for vehicle recovery and collision investigation."
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 1372 24/06/14.
