A MOTHER-OF-TWO who was knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack by a man in a pizza shop says she is "always looking over her shoulder" for her attacker.
Kelly Jordan, 40, from Ingleby Barwick, suffered a single, brutal headbutt which knocked her out and left her with a broken nose, broken cheekbone and a broken eye socket.
She has needed numerous hospital appointments for her serious facial injuries - and says she is too afraid to go out in Middlesbrough anymore.
The attack happened in GiGis pizza shop, Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough at about 1.30am on Sunday, November 17 last year.
Ms Jordan was in the shop with some female friends when a man came in with his girlfriend and another couple and started becoming aggressive towards her friends.
She said: "He told his girlfriend to hit one of my friends, or he would hit her, so she launched at my friend, who went straight to the floor. I remember thinking we needed to get my friend up and out of the door and that is the last thing I remember because he knocked me out."
She added: "I'm always looking over my shoulder for him, wherever I go."
The man was a white male, aged in his mid to late twenties, about 5ft 7-8'' tall, of stocky build with a shaven head. He had a large tattoo which went from behind his ear and down his neck to his collar.
Ms Jordan said his girlfriend was taller than him, although she was wearing heels. She was skinny and had brunette or slightly red coloured hair.
Police have released images of the woman's injuries in a bid to bring witnesses forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Neil Coverdale on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
