POLICE are not looking for anybody else in connection with the death of a man whose body was found at a waste management site.
The body, believed to be that of John Sumner, 26, of Sunderland, was found at a commercial premises in Washington yesterday.
Officers were called to the waste management premises, on Wilden Road, at just after 1pm, on Tuesday, June 24, following reports of a possible dead body.
Police attended the scene, along with the ambulance service, where the body was located and death confirmed.
The body is yet to be formally identified, however, is believed to be Mr Sumner of Lincoln Street, Sunderland.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out and the results were incolclusive. Futher tests will be conducted.
After initially treating the death as suspicious, police say they now believe there was no third party involvement.
Detective Superintendent Roger Ford, of Northumbria Police Major Crime Team, said: "I'd like to thank the people we have spoken to as part of our inquiries for their help in our investigation. A report will now be prepared for the coroner."
