POLICE are dealing with a crash on the A1 Western Bypass in Gateshead.
It happened at around 11.15am this morning, (Sunday, June 22), when police received a report of a collision involving a Mercedes and a Vauxhall on the southbound carriageway, near the Angel of the North.
One lane has been closed and motorists are being advised of ongoing delays in the area.
