A 63-YEAR-OLD woman has been airlifted to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, with serious injuries after being in collision with a Peugeot car, driven by a 59-year-old woman on Emerson Way, in Newton Aycliffe, shortly before midday on Friday, June 20. The pedestrian suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries. Witnesses are asked to call Durham Police on 101.
