YOUNG actors will don fancy dress and dance together to raise money for charity next weekend (Saturday, June 28).
More than 50 children from Stagecoach Theatre Arts Durham will take part in a nationwide Dress Up and Dance stunt in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thousands of schools and 50 Stagecoach groups across the country have signed up to participate.
Pat Jackson, principal of Stagecoach Durham, said: “There’s nothing so uplifting as a group dance but this event is made all the more fulfilling as it’s in support of such a worthy cause.
“All of our students are really thrilled to be involved and to show off their moves whilst raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.”
The group meets at Durham High School for Girls on Saturday mornings.
