FIVE lucky punters from the North-East will have the chance to win £1m on a single spin of a roulette wheel.
Gladys Jarvis, from Stanley and Fay Wong, from Chester-le-Street, in County Durham, along with three other contestants from Tyneside, have won through to the national finals of the Spin For A Million competition run by Aspers Casino.
The five won a regional heat at Aspers in Newcastle and are now among 20 finalists who will compete in the final on Saturday (June 21) in London.
Contestants will spin the casino’s Big Wheel, with the punters with the highest number knocked out until just one winner of the £25,000 top prize remains.
They will then have one more spin to land on a specific number called out by the dealer to walk away with a £1m prize.
Darren Hedley, campaigns manager at Aspers Casino Newcastle, said: “The response to the competition has been huge and we’re wishing our five finalists every success.
“It would be amazing to see someone from the North-East come back a millionaire”.
