A WOMAN has been trampled by cows in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Leyburn at 4.35pm today.
Both the air ambulance and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) were deployed.
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance said: "The Great North Air Ambulance was asked to assist YAS after a young lady was trampled by cows.
"She was treated at scene by YAS paramedics and the doctor lead trauma team from the helicopter before being flown to hospital."
It is understood the woman, aged 21 and from the local area, suffered multiple injuries in the incident. However, her condition is not described as life-threatening.
She was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough with the flight taking 11 minutes.
