GREEN-FINGERED people living in homes owned by a North-East housing association are encouraged to enter its annual gardening competition.
A first prize of £50 plus a trophy is up for grabs in Railway Housing Association’s Best Kept Garden competition.
People living in the association’s 1,400 properties across the UK, including hundreds of homes in Darlington, are eligible to enter.
People can nominate their own garden or that of a friend or neighbour. All they need to do is send in photographs of their gardens to Railway Housing Association’s head office by Friday, August 1.
All Railway Housing Association residents need to do to enter their garden, or the garden of a neighbour (provided they are a tenant) is send a couple of photographs, along with their name, address and contact details to RHA Garden Competition, Bank Top House, Garbutt Square, Neasham Road, Darlington DL1 4DR.
