A688 between Evenwood Gate and West Auckland closed following accident
The A688 between Evenwood Gate and West Auckland is currently closed in both directions following a "serious accident" earlier this evening.
At 11.30pm Durham Police confirmed the road closure - between Evenwood Lane and the Oakley Services roundabout - remained in force and an investigation is underway - although no further details were available.
Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
