BURLARS wearing balaclavas held a pensioner hostage in his home and stole his wallet after demanding money.
Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a property in Victoria Terrace, Saltburn.
The terrifying incident happened between 7.45pm and 8pm on Tuesday, February 25, when two men entered a home and held the victim, a 65-year-old man, against his will.
The suspects demanded money and they made off with the victim’s wallet and two ornaments.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: The first suspect is described as around 5ft 10” tall, of slim build, wearing a thigh-length green jacket, possibly drawn in at the waist, and green trousers.
“The second suspect is described as around 6ft tall and wearing a blue jacket. Both were wearing gloves and had their faces covered with balaclavas."
